About IMS

IMS is a service unit of the Department of Agricultural Education at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. Services performed by IMS staffers include curriculum and special project development, in cooperation with Career and Technology Education personnel, mainly Agricultural Science and Technology Education and Trade and Industrial Education staff from the Texas Education Agency.

IMS staff members gather and review educational materials for alignment with state curriculum standards prior to distribution. IMS staff present curriculum-related professional development workshops to educators. High-speed digital duplication equipment maintained at IMS provides distribution and workshop support.

IMS staff members work closely with career and technology student organizations–FFA and Texas SkillsUSA-VICA–and with various state and national teacher and student organizations.

IMS staff serves clientele in all states and several foreign countries as a clearinghouse for curriculum and instructional materials. IMS assists state personnel from outside of Texas in designing and delivering customized curriculum.
