Established in 1965 by a contractual agreement between Texas A&M University and the Texas Education Agency.

Administered by the Department of Agricultural Education, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M University.

Supported partially through contracts negotiated annually with Texas Education Agency.

Financed largely through sales of instructional materials (a large majority of operational costs).
