Crime in America
Crime in America is a Tech-Prep articulated course that introduces students to the American crime problem in a historical perspective. Instruction includes social policy affecting crime, impact and crime trends, social characteristics of specific crimes, and prevention of crime. The course offers an Instructor’s Guide, which includes lesson plans, teaching aids, teacher’s assignment and test keys, and Student Materials, which include student references and student activities. The course is aligned to the Protective Service Systems TEKS and the foundation TAKS.

Introduction to Criminal Justice
Introduction to Criminal Justice is a Tech-Prep articulated course that introduces students to the criminal justice process in a historical perspective on a national level. Instruction includes the study of crime, law enforcement, the courts, correctional systems, and the juvenile justice process. The course offers an Instructor’s Guide, which includes lesson plans, teaching aids, teacher’s assignment and test keys, and Student Materials, which include student references and student activities. The course is aligned to the Protective Service Systems TEKS and the foundation TAKS.

Correctional Systems & Practices
Correctional Systems & Practices is a Tech-Prep articulated course that provides a study of corrections in the American criminal justice system. Instruction includes a history of corrections, correctional roles, the organization of correctional systems, living and working in the prison system, institutional management, the American jail, community corrections, institutional programs, current and future correctional issues, and careers in corrections. The course offers an Instructor’s Guide, which includes lesson plans, teaching aids, teacher’s assignment and test keys, and Student Materials, which include student references and student activities.The course is aligned to the Protective Service Systems TEKS and the foundation TAKS.

Automotive Technology
Automotive Technology (2002-2003) modules distributed by IMS provide a modern curriculum to meet the approved Texas courses for Automotive Technician, Automotive Specialization, and Transportation Service Technician. The modules also serve as curriculum resources for cooperative education, job shadowing, mentoring, and apprenticeship training. All nine modules are based on the Automotive Technology Competency Profile that is cross-referenced to the NATEF/ASE task list. A strong NATEF/ASE orientation makes the nine modules effective tools for preparing students to enter the technologically advanced field of automotive technology. This Tech-Prep articulated course meets NATEF/ASE certification and licensing requirements and is aligned to the Transportation Service System TEKS and the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills TAKS. The course offers curriculum material for teacher reference and student activities within each of the nine modules.
